I've just got a pack of Moo.com's new business cards, from my flickr images, and I'm very happy with them. They look ace!
I've used this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dakegra/sets/72157606033234003/
If anyone would like one, drop me an email! dakegra (at) gmail (dot) com.
Then I saw on Moo's blog that someone had used Wordle to make the images for their cards.
Brilliant idea. I've used Worldle to make this graphic, by copying and pasting in the text of a short story of mine. I think it'd look ace as a business card for writing-related contacts.
Not that I have any. Yet.
:-)
LB and I built a Lego House last night. I was in charge of architecture and brick selection, LB advised on window placement.
Here we see Steve the Builder examining his eco-friendly wind turbine. Note the lack of safety equipment!more on flickr:

"Heinz has withdrawn its Deli Mayo TV ad that featured two men sharing a kiss and apologised to viewers after the advertising regulator received about 200 complaints that it was offensive and inappropriate."
oh, Heinz. Get over yourselves. That's a *great* advert.
didn't get the website job - my friend's company are using another company to do some design/branding work for them, and they've quoted about the same for the charity website they want to set up. Makes more sense to have one firm doing both.
Ah well. There goes my new lens. If anyone wants to buy me a Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens to cheer me up...

It was mentioned at the weekly IT meeting yesterday that the boss is off to Ikea to get various bits and pieces we need for the office. He said he was going to get some art for the walls too, as we're currently very bare-walled, having just moved into the new offices a couple of months ago.
Someone jokingly said that they should use some of my photos.
I've just mailed boss to say that as we have some decent photographers working for us, we should consider just buying some frames and printing some up.
[edit] reply from boss: ok, let's pull together a shortlist.
woo!
[edited edit] of course, now I can't think of which photos would look good printed up! help!
[edited edited edit] I've put a few into a set on flickr. Thoughts? I work for a software company dealing with the financial services market, in Leeds. If that helps. :-)
