I recently acquired an old Holga 120S from a friend. Loaded it up with some Ilford HP5+ 400 speed film, taped up the back with lots of black tape and set out for a walk around Leeds. Another friend kindly offered to develop/scan the photos for me, and emailed me a couple of shots last night as a taster.
I'm rather thrilled with how they've come out.
This is the Town Hall in Leeds
How cool is that? Old camera with a plastic lens, fixed focus, fixed exposure. I *love* the second shot, and am considering getting them both printed and framed as art for the office. :-)
see that photo there? The one of the handsome chap?
I took that with a camera made out of a MATCHBOX, at Photocamp Leeds this weekend.I'm still absolutely giddy about this. A matchbox, some black tape, an acupuncture needle and some film.
Oh, and Mike, who quite deservingly won a prize for best presentation for his 'how to make a pinhole camera out of a matchbox'.
You can see why. Just look at it! A matchbox!
I suspect I may not recover from this. :-)

I've just got a pack of Moo.com's new business cards, from my flickr images, and I'm very happy with them. They look ace!
I've used this set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dakegra/sets/72157606033234003/
If anyone would like one, drop me an email! dakegra (at) gmail (dot) com.
Then I saw on Moo's blog that someone had used Wordle to make the images for their cards.
Brilliant idea. I've used Worldle to make this graphic, by copying and pasting in the text of a short story of mine. I think it'd look ace as a business card for writing-related contacts.
Not that I have any. Yet.
:-)
LB and I built a Lego House last night. I was in charge of architecture and brick selection, LB advised on window placement.
